ALBANY – A man arrested in connection with two attempted burglaries in Guilderland has apparently hanged himself in jail.

Police say Adam Rappaport, 29, of Albany was found unconscious in his cell on Saturday.

He was taken to Albany Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Rappaport was facing charges for allegedly trying to break into homes on Church and Newman Road.

He had been in jail since Thursday.
